| Huge quantity of arms, ammunition recovered, hideout busted | | | JAMMU JULY-1-A large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered at Kanetar Pani in Poonch and Jugna in Kishtwar area of Doda district today.
A Defence spokesman said that based on specific information a joint search operation was launched by the Territorial Army and 27 Rashtriya Rifles in Khaneter Pani 7 KM south-east of Poonch. During search, the forces recovered one Chinese pistol, six pistol magazines, two RPG rounds, two AK magazines, 60 AK ammunition rounds, two Chinese hand grenades,73 Pika rounds, one electric detonator, one IED switch and 1.5 KG RDX. The cache was recovered from a plastic bag hidden under the boulder in a nallah.
The spokesman said that 63 RR busted a natural cave type hideout in forest area of Junga seven KMs west of Kishtwar today
The recoveries made from the hide out included one .303 rifle,10 rounds of AK ammunition, 16 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 17 fired carts of .303 , six rounds of 12 bore ammunition, one Chinese hand grenade and one camera.
