| PDP is for holistic development of state: Ansari | | | Early Times Reporter
Srinagar | Sep 11: A meeting of district presidents of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from valley was held here at party head office today. The meeting was presided over by PDP senior Vice President Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari.
The party affairs were deliberated upon threadbare in the meeting and the dates were fixed for the forthcoming zonal conventions. The meeting was also attended by party general secretaries Abdul Rehman Veeri and Nizam-u-Din Bhat, state secretary Nazir Ahmad Bakshi and PDP political secretary Peerzada Mansoor Hussain.
Ansari while addressing the meeting observed that the party has envisaged a plan for holistic development of the state and the responsibility for its implementation lies on party workers.
He further stressed on the need to work for the party promotion with utmost sincerity and dedication so that the people feel the difference.
The party agenda, forthcoming elections, security situation, and the overall change in political dimension of the valley were also discussed in the meeting. The participants hailed the PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and PDP President Ms Mehbboba Mufti for their endeavors to bring the state to normalcy.
The party leaders later demanded compensation for the people of different parts of valley including Sopore and some areas of Shangus where the hailstorm has affected the orchids heavily.
