Srinagar|Sep 11 – Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Mr. Tara Chand has constituted a Select Committee on a bill to provide transparency and accountability in the functioning of municipalities (L. A. Bill No 9 of 2007). Minister for Housing and Urban Development Qazi Mohammad Afzal would be the Chairman of the Committee while as Ali Mohammad Sagar, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Raman Bhalla, Yogesh Sawhney, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Syed Bashir Ahmad, Yashpaul Kundal, Usman Abdul Majeed, G M Saroori, Dr. Gh. Nabi Bhat and Ghulam Raza are the members of the Committee.
