The local people of the village Nogra area in Bishnah today held protest against the MLA Ashwani Sharma and burnt his effigy for his alleged failure in undertaking development works in the area.
According to reports, a large number of people of the village including ladies and youth staged a protest against Sharma alleging that the MLA concerned has failed to mitigate the problems facing the people of the area.
Virinder Kumar, Veena, Harbans Lal, Ratno Devi, Khajan Chand, Thoru Ram and many others who protested against the MLA said that ever since Sharma was elected as MLA not a single development scheme was taken in hand and in this connection referred to the deplorable condition of roads, lanes and drains in the area. They alleged that the MLA was concerned only for himself and his family members and has done little for the development of the constituency.
