| Various educational institutions celebrates Independence Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

To mark the celebrations of Independence Day several functions were held in various educational institutions across the Jammu city. Keeping in view the security aspects and restrictions most of the educational institutions preferred to celebrate the occasion in advance. Flag was hoisted by the heads of their respective institutions.
In Euro Care, a grand function was organized to mark the occasion of Independence Day and Janmashtami.
The function started with the flag hoisting and recitation of national songs. Kids were attired in the costumes of Radha-Krishan. It was followed by the colorful programme including dance and skits by tiny tots. The function culminated with the short address of Director, Bala Gupta.
In First Step School, flag was hoisted by Principal, Rita Narula followed by a fancy dress competition. Kids were attired in different dresses. Sweets were also distributed among the kids on the occasion. Bachpan Play way School also celebrated the occasion with full enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. A similar kind of function was also witnessed in Green Fields School where Principal hoisted the flag followed by other items by the students.
