Pahalwan Mohd. Akram lifted 143rd Annual Panchari Kesari title defeating pahalwan Kuldeep Singh in the final bout in a tough bout lasted for 14 minutes held at Panchari
block of district Udhampur.
Dangal was organized by Panchari Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style wrestling Association under the supervision of its president Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Mohd. Akram was adjudged as the best wrestler and was awarded with the cash prize of Rs.1500 along with traditional malli. Runner-up Kuldeep was awarded with cash prize of Rs.1000.
In 37 bouts played today, 54 wrestlers from all the districts participated in the dangal. Second bout between Prem Verma and Mushtaq Mohd ended in a draw. Rangil Singh defeated Naresh Kumar in the third bout. Lashman Sharma defeated Pawan Kumar in the fourth bout.
