Peace is on top agenda of the government: Zargar

Minister for Agriculture, Abdul Aziz Zargar has said that peace is on the top agenda of the government, adding that PDP is working to create peaceful environment in the state, which is the primary requirement of development and prosperity. He was speaking at a public gathering at Gasren in Noorabad constituency the yesterday.
Zargar said massive developmental plans are underway in the constituency and people are observing perceptible change in the situation. He said at the out set of the coalition government every effort was made to restore peace in the state and ensure the safety of the people and their property. He said government is committed to ensure the security of the people, adding to allow them to live with honour and dignity is our motive. Zargar said that opening of Mughal road was the priority of our party and it is the outcome of our efforts that work on the road is going on in full swing.
Giving the details of the developments taken place in the area, minister said that primary school Gasren was upgraded to Middle level, besides Rs. 4.50 lacs had been earmarked for the construction of school building on which working is going on. He said work on Rs 8.21 crore road project from Pohlu-Chamgund, Chambgund-Gudura, Gudura- Loees and Chambgund- Malwan was in progress and Rs. 40 lacs are being expended during the current financial year on the project.
Responding to the demands of the Gasren, minister said that Banmulla irrigation canal would be taken to Pohlu via Gasren and work on the project would be started very soon. Regarding other demands, minister assured them that these would be meted out in a phased manner. The minister, in reply to the demand of giving backward class status, said that matter would be taken up with concerned ministry.
Among others, SDM, Kulgam, senior officers of various departments, besides senior members of PDP were present on the occasion.
Abdul Razaq Bhat, Senior Block President, PDP, Noorabad also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the developments booked during the regime of the coalition government in Noorabad constituency.
Ab Gani Dar of NC along with other workers joined PDP on the occasion and hailed the policy of the PDP. Zargar well come Dars’ decision and hoped that Dar will dedicate himself for welfare of the people of Gasren and work for party interests.
