Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Political Secretary Peerzada Mansoor Hussain today observed that the vision envisaged by his party vis-à-vis holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir has changed the overall scenario in the state, since it came into power.
Mansoor was addressing a public gathering at Cheripora Shangus, where the people highlighted various problems faced by them. He said that since 2002 when PDP took over the reigns of power, people have felt the difference in socio-economic and political development in the state. Mansoor added that it was PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and PDP President Ms Mehbooba Mufti's vision which brought a visible change in security situation as well.
Stating that the gradual troop reduction has become an imperative as there has been a visible change in security situation Mansoor remarked that the sooner it is done the better its impact will be. He observed that in his entire political career he has never witnessed such a speedy socio-economic development in this state. He added that the principles on which PDP's political agenda is based on, has been endorsed by one and all at regional, national and international level.
Mansoor maintained that it was PDP's political agenda which motivated him to work for the people with conviction adding further that it is the PDP, which has facilitated the peace process between the two estranged partners India and Pakistan by virtue of which a permanent solution to the vexed issue of Kashmir is possible.
