| Nagrota residents protest at PCR | | Demand suspension of SHO | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sept 12 Residents of Nagrota staged a protest demonstration in front of Police Control Room (PCR) here today and demanded immediate suspension of SHO Nagrota. They alleged that the SHO was shielding an accused who had kidnapped forcibly a woman namely Naseeb Biwi. According to reports, Naseeb Biwi was living with her parents after separation from her husband Shoukat Ali for last one and half year. Protestor said that their community made a decision in a community meeting if her in-laws come to her parent’s house to take Naseeb Biwi with them, they will send her with them. They blamed that her in-laws didn’t come there but Shoukat Ali along with some goons came there and thrashed her parents and kidnapped her on August 31. They blamed that they had made a complaint at Nagrota Police Station but the officials there did not show any interest to nab the culprits and to recover the woman. They blamed that SHO Nagrota was shielding the culprits. They also blamed that Naseeb Biwi’s parents who were beaten by Shoukat Ali were admitted at Government Medical College but doctors also discharged them from hospital without giving proper treatment. Protesters demanded that SHO Nagrota should be immediately suspended and case should be given to some other officer so that the woman is recovered and culprits get punished.
