Symposium on Gandhian philosophy organized

A zonal level symposium on the topic Gandhian philosophy of truth and non violence and its relevance in 21st century was held at government Boys Higher Secondary School here today.
Principal of the school P.L. Bakshi presided over the function. Eight students from different higher secondary and high schools from Katra, Aghar Jitto, Reasi and Kamble Danga participated.
Zia-ul-flaq 12th class student of higher secondary school, Reasi was adjudged first while Mohd. Munir of high school, Kamble Danga as second for participation at the district level. A Cash prize of Rs.1500/- and Rs.1000/- was given to first and second winners respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Bakshi said that there is need of following Gandhian Philosophy of truth and non-villance and its relevance for the upliftement of scattered society.
Retd. Principal B.L. Kemi also spoke on the occasion and exhorted upon the students to spread upon the students to spread the message of truth and non violence.
NCC Major, Ajay Raina conducted the proceeding and also presented vote of thanks.
