| 16th CEC of All India Postal Officers inaugurated | | | Early Times Reporter

The 16th Central Executive Committee(CEC) of the All India Postal Officers (Accounts) was inaugurated here today. This is for the first time that the meeting of Indian Postal Officers is being held in the ‘City of Temples’ said S K Sawhney, Assistant General Secretary.(AIPO).
The meeting was inaugurated by Director of Accounts (Posts) Deepak Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said that this is the first time that an executive committee meeting is being held in the Jammu city.
He disclosed that the last CEC meeting was held in New Delhi, in which it was decided to hold next meeting in the city of temples. In this meeting around 40 delegates across the country are participating, said Kumar adding that the main issue of the meeting is restructuring of the accounts cadre on the department of posts and the merger of the accounts post with the telecom sector.
Sawhney in his address said the meeting will continue for the next two days which is jointly hosted by the local association of the J&K Postal Accounts circle and the Haryana Postal Accounts Circle.
In the inaugural session, various leaders of the Association including V. Permul, President, N C Guin Vinood Nijhawan, and Amit Sharma, J& K Circle were present.
