| FMHWA observe one day token hunger strike | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 13 Jammu and Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association went on a day long protest hunger strike outside the Director Health Services office complex here today in support of its demands including release of six months pending salary. Addressing the protestors, Babli Sharma, President of the Association highlighted the demands of the employees. She said in view of the government’s failure to concede its demands, the employees have been forced to take this extreme step.. The main demands of the association include releasing pending salary of six months to those employees working under Head 2211, promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers at par with Male Multipurpose Health Workers, enhancement of pay scale Rs. 3050-4910 to Rs. 4000-6000 . . The Association has once again appealed the state government to release the pending salary to the employees within a week’s time and in the meantime call on the Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma here today and presented a charter of demands for early consideration. Those who were present one the first day of the hunger strike included, Alice Vero, Taro Devi, Kulvinder Kour, Kamla Devi, Reeta Devi and Sudershana Devi.
