| Betab receives ‘Bhasha Bharti Samman’ | | | Early Times Reporter

Writer’s Forum Jammu today congratulated Labour Commissioner Pritpal Singh Betab who is nationally renowned Urdu Poet for receiving the prestigious Literary Award “|Bhasha \Bharti Samman” conferred by Institute of Indian Libraries, Mysore. This award has been conferred to Betab for his latest Urdu Poetry collection “Mouj-e-Reig” for the year 2004-05.
The Minister of HRD, Govt of India announces one award yearly in each language of the eight schedule of the Indian Constitution.
Betab will receive this award on 28th of Sep2007 in a function at Mysore. He has five collections of Urdu Gazals both in Persian and Devangari Scrip. He is also recipient of best book award 1981-82 of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language, Ist Saqid Mohd Memorial Award-2005, Gemini Academy Panipat, Haryana, Subhadhara Kumari Chouhan Janam Shatabdi Samman. Jammu Kashmir Rattan-2003-04, Ist Mohd Din Bandey Memorial Award.
