| HC stays non-bailabale warrants issued against former AAG | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 14 - Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu wing, in an application filed by former Additional Advocate General Anil Sethi, ordered warrants of arrest issued against the petitioner shall not be executed ON petitioner's furnishing personal recognizance of surety in the amount of Rs 5000 to the satisfaction of Deputy Registrar of this Court. In the transfer application of the case, Justice JP Singh after hearing Sr. Adv SS Lehar with Advocate DS Chouhan and Adv Nitin Bhasin appearing for the petitioner and AAG Mr. BS Salathia appearing for the state, issued notice to the respondents and accepted notice on behalf of two respondents and waived notice required to be served.to Sr. Adv SS Lehar submitted that he wanted to delete the name of then CJM Srinagar in the petition, Court allowed the request of Sr. Adv Lehar that he shall make amendment. In the CMP, notices were issued which were accepted by AAG. Petitioner who was presented in court, directed to file his personal recognizance of his surety during the course of day before the Deputy Registrar Judicial, petitioner shall also a execute bond undertaking to pay any amount which this court may award by way of compensation to the person, who may oppose his application seeking transfer of the case, in case the application of petitioner does not succeed. The petitioner filed criminal transfer application of the case initiated u/s 228 RPC against the petitioner to any competent court of jurisdiction at Jammu on various grounds including the threat to his life in Kashmir Valley.
