Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association today selected teams for the 9th Junior National (girls) and 26th Junior National (boys) wrestling championships to be held at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar from September 21 to September 23.
While team comprising of eight wrestlers in as many weight groups shall be contesting in Free Style event only, the boys shall be competing in both Free Style and Greco Roman events in the four-day long championship.
These championships are being organized by the J&K Wrestling Association of which Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda is president.
Teams:
Girls (free style): Poonam Verma (44kg), Meenu Sharma (48 kg), Mamta Kumari (51 kg), Nisha Rani (55kg), Jagmat (59 kg), Stenzen (63 kg), Renu Devi (67 kg) and Ranjeeta Langeh (72 kg).
Boys (free style): Niaz Mohammed (50 kg), Sunny Sharma (55kg), Shan Ali (60 kg), Rajwinder Singh (66 kg), Amin (74 kg), Anil Kumar (84 kg), Jakir Hussain (96 kg) and Akshay Sharma (96 plus).
Boys (Greco Roman): Pritam Lal (50 kg), Naresh Kumar (55 kg), Pawan Kumar (60 kg), Mohd Akram (66 kg), Sukdhdev (74 kg), Roshan Lal (84 kg) Sunil Sharma (96 kg) and Baljit (96 plus).
