| DSP, Hawaldar injured in gun shot | | | Early Times Reporter

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) was seriously injured while saving the hawaldar who made an abortive attempt to commit suicide in Kishtwar.
According to reports today afternoon the Mulk Raj Hawaldar of JKAP 13 battalion made an unsucceful attempt to suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon and in the meantime the DSP namely Ved Parkash Sambyal rushed to spot. While trying to save the Hawaldar, he also suffered serious injuries.
Hearing the gun shots, the other jawans rushed to the spot where they found DSP and Hawaldar injured and took them to Doda Hospital where after treatment they were shifted to Government Medical College hospital here for specialized treatment.
Senior officers also rushed to spot to take stock of the situation and in the meantime Police have registered a case in this regard.
