Poonch, July 23: The border villages of Balakote Ghani and Krishna Ghati Top are facing acute shortage of drinking water for the last about one month. Naib Sarpanch from Ghani, Niaz Ahmed told the Early Times that this village is facing acute shortage of water. The pipes have been broken and water tanks are dry. Entire population is facing shortage of water. No tanker supply is being ensured to the public from Mendhar area. Same is the position at Balakote and KG Top village. The people of this area are mainly dependent on the water supply being provided to them by Army tankers. They alleged that matter has been brought to the notice of Civil Administration at Mendhar but no improvement has been witnessed. They demanded that water supply be restored to these villages. |
