The local people of village Palli Morh area in Kathua today lodged protest on national highway demanding arrest of accused who murdered a local person in the area and later threw his body on the road.
According to reports some days back police found a dead body of one Manohar Lal
son of Thoru Ram resident of Palli Morh from the road and later after postmortem handed over the body to family members for last rites. Reports said today the local people blocked the national highway and demanded arrest of the accused.
The protestors are reported to have alleged that despite giving name of the accused the police has failed to nab him.Senior officers of the police rushed to spot and controlled the situation and assured the protestors that they would arrest the accused in some days. On this assurance the proctors lifted the blockades on the highway.
