| Jammu makes clean sweep in inter-district badminton | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | Sep 15: Hosts district Jammu made a clean sweep in the Divisional level inter-district badminton competitions winning the team championships in all the three age groups of under-14, under-17 and under-19 year age groups.
The two-day long competitions which were oganised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports took place at Indoor Complex of the MA Stadium, here.
In today’s finals and prize distribution function, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, S A Wani was chief guest, who gave away trophies to the winners and runners-up team and distributed medals among the team members. Among others present were Swarn Singh, Jeet Singh, Surinder Spolia and other senior officials of the department.
The detailed final results:
Under-14 year: Singles: D S Shubam of Jammu bt Nandish Khajuria of Udhampur. Doubles: Pranav Sharma and Ayush Raina of Jammu bt the pair of Nandish Khajuria and Javaid Ahmed of Udhampur.
Under-17 year: Singles: Abhijeet of Jammu bt Ashish of Samba. Doubles: Arshdeep Singh and Rohail Pandohi of Jammu bt Ashish and Sajan of Samba .
Under-19 year: Singles: Maninder Singh of Jammu bt Aditya Manhas of Samba. Doubles: Nikhil and Vasu of Jammu bt Aditya Manhas and Vikrant of Samba .
