Raj Bhavan official electrocuted, death mourned

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 16- Chaman Lal Shehriya, a senior assistant in Raj Bhavan died due to electrocution in the staff quarters at Boulevard here this morning.
Chaman Lal, 48 is survived by his parents, wife and three daughters.
Raj Bhavan officials said that Chaman Lal came into contact with a wire that had got connected with a poll when he left for morning walk in the wee hours. He was immediately rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead.
Officers, staff and the security personnel deployed in Raj Bhavan and their families gave a tearful adieu to Chaman Lal and laid wreaths on his mortal remains before being shifted to Jammu for last rites.
Principal Secretary to Governor, Arun Kumar has expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic death of the official and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
