 Jammu, July 27: District Administration has sounded an alert in Jammu as water level in River Tawi is on the rise and could swell to danger or above by 4 PM. An alert was also sounded in Udhampur where River Tawi has already touched the danger mark. Deputy Commissioner , Simrandeep Singh has advised caution against the rising water level and informed the staff about the same. Presently the level of River Tawi is last marked at 10 ft. Heavy rains lashed out in Jammu brought the city to a halt today with floods, traffic jams, overflowing drains and Power Outage. What is believed to be the highest rainfall of this year with 157mm at 0830 Hrs .
