Foiling a major infiltration bid, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district today gunned down five militants, defence sources said here.
Five ultras were shot dead in the wee hours while attempting to sneak across the Line of Control into this side of the state in Macchil sector, the sources said.
A search operation was in progress in the area and further details of the incident were awaited, they said. |
