Border police conducts raids

JAMMU | JULY 1

In order to check manufacture of illicit liquor, excise raids etc. were carried out on the intervening night of 30 June &01 July under the supervision of SSP Border Jammu, Rajinder Gupta, IPS.
During excise raids three persons namely Veera S/o Kartar Chand, Soba Lal S/o Kalu, Lal Chand S/o Devo all residents of New Chand Brick Kiln R.S. Pura ( Badyal Brahmna) were booked under section 50-A excise Act, under P/S Miran Sahib.
Excise raid was conducted at R.S Pura town in which two persons namely Pawan Singh S/o Girdahari Singh and Angrez Singh, Ganda Singh residents of Satraian were booked under section 50 –A Excise Act, under P/S R.S Pura.
During night checking/patrolling one vehicle was seized under sections 3/181 & 146/196Motor Vehicle Act i.e. without driving licence & Insurance certificate. Moreover, five persons were arrested under section 107/151 Cr. P.C i.e. breach of apprehension, under P/S Arnia.
During Patrolling two vehicles were booked under 117/177 & 3/181 Motor Vehicle Act i.e. without driving licence & fitness certificates, under P/S Samba.
