Srinagar, Sep 16
After over the death of more than a dozen people, due to fall into Ahrabal waters in south Kashmir in the past few months, the authorities have finally decided to fence the entire waterfall.
An official spokesman said the decision to fence the waterfall, one of the most attractive tourist place in south Kashmir, was taken yesterday to avoid any such incident in future.
A fortnight ago two students from Srinagar had fallen into the water. Only one dead body could be fished out a week ago while search for another one was still going on.
More than a dozen people, including children, died after they fall into the water.
He said fencing the Aharbal Waterfall will be started soon to prevent loss of human lives and added that instructions to this effect have been given to chief Executive Officer of Aharbal Development Authority (ADA) by district Development Commissioner, Kulgam, during his visit to the tourist resort yesterday.
