| Hindi fortnight observations | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep17 As part of celebration of Hindi fortnight, by the whole nation. Press Information Bureau (PIB) Jammu, Government of India today celebrated Hindi Divas. To celebrate Hindi Divas a meeting was organized in PIB Jammu’s office under the chairmanip of . N. Gulan Raina (M&CO). Speaking on the occasion . Raina read out the message of Director General PIB, New Delhi. In her message DG PIB has requested the officials of the organization to do the official work in Hindi language as much as possible. DG PIB also appealed to the officials of PIB Jammu to celebrate Hind Divas/Hind Week/Hind Fortnight every year. While talking to PIB staff members . Raina said do more official work in Hindi, as Hindi is our national language and doing official work in Hindi is much easier. . Raina also told the staff that they ould not feel hesitation while working in Hindi language. . Raina further emphasized the importance of Hindi as an official language in day to day official work and assured all, that result oriented Hindi work will be done. Lastly he also requested the staff "Continue their contributions towards the spread and promotion of Hindi as well". Meanwhile, Hindi fortnight is being celebrated in the office of Chief Postmaster General, J & K circle Jammu and all other subordinate offices from September 14 to September 28 2007. Hindi Divas was celebrated by Posts Department on September 14th. While speaking on the occasion . D. K. Budki, Chief Postmaster General, J & K Circle, Jammu, said that the effective implementation of official language policy and urged all officers and staff members to work in Hindi so that the targets fixed for its effective implementation are achieved. The Chief Postmaster General also read out the message which was received on the occasion from Hon’ble Union Home Minister and the Secretary Posts Department, New Delhi. During the Hindi fortnight various programmes will be organized that included Hindi workop, Translation, Noting & Drafting and Quiz competitions etc. The concluding ceremony will be held on September 28th and prizes will be distributed to the participants who get Ist, 2nd, and 3rd positions
