| Youth hostel inaugurated | | | Early Times Reporter

Sudhanshu Pandey, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu inaugurated ‘Ashiana’, the Youth Hostel at Budhal. The Hostel has been conceptualized by the Army to provide a unique opportunity to the under privileged children, especially from Gujjar and Bakkarwal community.
Built on four canals and fifteen Marla’s of land donated by Shri Mohd Aslam resident of Gabbar, ‘Ashiana’ is designed to house 60 children. The accommodation is fully furnished and is equipped with modern fittings and amenities.
The inaugural function was presided over by Brigadier J Anantharaman, Commander 163 Infantry Brigade. Also gracing the occasion were Divisional Commissioner Rajouri, Mr Gulam Qadir Sheikh, local MLAs, a large number of civilian dignitaries.
The Commander, Budhal Brigade, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering. He lauded the Budhal Brigade for having undertaken a noble initiative which will benefit the children of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community. He expressed his deep satisfaction on the progress made on Operation Sadbhavana projects and complimented the Uniform Force for their unflinching dedication and perseverance, towards upliftment of the people of the area.
Pandey called upon the people to extend all support to the Army in its endeavour to bring total normalcy and peace in the region.
