| CIH organizes refresher course for teachers | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 17 Central Institute of Hindi (CIH) of Agra (Delhi Centre) has been organizing refresher course for the teachers of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir since the last decade of twentieth century. The CIH Delhi tries its utmost to train more and more teachers every year. This is the third programme of the financial year and second of the educational session. The first programme of the year was organized for the teachers of Leh region of J&K. The main objective of the refresher course is to train Hindi teachers in new techniques of language, teaching and learning keeping in view Central government’s education policy and regional needs of the teachers. In this course prescribed in various schools are also analysed and teachers are taught to teach these lessons effectively in the class rooms. This programme of three weeks started on August 20, 2007 which was inaugurated by the Principal State Institute of Education, Jammu Mr. G. R. Sriwal as a chief guest. The programme started with ‘Vandna’ by the participants. Mr. G. R. Sriwal inspired the participants and advised them to derive maximum benefits from the experts to solve their problems related to Hindi language and Hindi teaching. He also welcomed the organizers and extended his gratitude and full cooperation. Fifty-five teachers of Jammu region were trained in this 20 days programme. They were taught the subjects which include linguistics Hindi language, Hindi literature, Hindi grammar, teaching methodology and lesson planning etc. Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, Reader, Mr. Sridharam and Ms. Preeti Gupta, Lecturers who were resource persons for this training programme.
