Mangat asks doctors to treat patients as an angel
Inaugurates ultra-sound at SDH Sohanjana

Asserting that the government has added modern infrastructure with technological innovations to the existing healthcare in the state, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mangat Ram Sharma informed that almost all the vacant posts of medicos and para-medicos have been filled up.
The Minister was addressing a mammoth gathering after inaugurating Ultra- Sound at Sub-District Hospital Sohanjana.
This ultra-sound facility will cater to the needs of ailing people of about 43 villages of the area. The people of the area expressed gratitude to Azad led government for taking keen interest in providing every facility to the people of the state especially those living in far-flung, rural and border areas.
Sharma said that about 400-500 posts of doctors are being created in Auryuvedic sector and every area particularly rural and remote will be facilitated with an Auryvedic doctor. Besides, 400 posts of doctors have already been created in Allopathy to meet the requirement of various health institutions, he added. He said that the government has initiated a number of reformative steps to improve and modernize the existing healthcare infrastructure in the state.
Describing it as a noble profession, the Minister emphasized upon the doctors to extend their services with utmost sincerity and efficiency “as people considers doctors as their God who saves their precious lives so doctors should also behave and treat them with the spirit of an angel”, opined the Minister. He said that no doubt doctors have an important role to contribute for the well-being of ailing mankind but at the same time people too have to cooperate with them in order to maintain the sanctity of this noble cause. He asked them to treat the patients with love and compassion as it can cure their half of the disease. He said that outstanding services will be rewarded while the deliquent will be brought into book.
Appreciating efforts of Azad led government in bringing a discernible change in every parameter of developmental scenario, the Minister said that this all has become possible only due to the liberal funding and moral support given by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi. He said that Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad possesses all those qualities which a dynamic leader should have and this is quite visible from the progress registered in the state so far.
Saying that the area has vast potential of agriculture production, the Minister exhorted upon the local youth to make optimum use of the available agricultural resources through several self-employment ventures launched by the government.
Former local MLA, Director Health Services Jammu, Deputy Directors CMOs, BMOs, doctors, Sarpanches, Panches and prominent locals were present on the occasion.
