| Court grants relief to ailing PoK resident Early Times Reporter | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sept 17 The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has come to the rescue of a resident of the Pakistan occupied Kashmir who had come to Poonch to see his relatives but is unable to go back owing to ill health. Ghulam Mohammad alias Moamda, a resident of village Panadri on the other side of the Line of Control had come on a valid permit to see his relatives in village Loran of Poonch district. However, during his stay here he developed serious heart and kidney and ailments was subsequently shifted to Jammu for advanced treatment.
Fearing his forcible deportation on expiry of valid permit, he filed this petition in the court on which Justice JP Singh ordered stay on deportation subject to certain conditions. Justice JP Singh issued notice to Union of India, Ministry of External Affairs, State Government, DGP J&K, DIG Poonch, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, SSP Poonch and SHO P/S Mandi District Poonch for service with in one week and till next date of hearing petitioner shall not be deported provided he files an undertaking that he shall not leave jurisdiction of District Magistrate Poonch, without prior permission of the court and shall intimate the District Magistrate about his whereabouts after every week.
