| Bhatti calls for vigorous campaign against smoking | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 18 Chairman All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation Z A Bhatti has called for launching an awareness camp about the ill effect of smoking and urged the government to ensure that smoking is banned at public places. Addressing a public meeting at Manjakot in Rajouri district today, Bhatti said that since the government alone can not succeed in making the society Tobacco free, the responsibility also lie on common man, parents, educational institutions, NGO and others to educate the children who are in habit of smoking or chewing tobacco about its demerits and effects on the health. He said the print and electronic media could play a vital role in this regard and asked the people to pledge to stop use of tobacco thus making the society from the tobacco.
