| EC should revise Kashmiri Pandits electoral rolls: JKNDF | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 18 Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Front (JKNDF) on Tuesday urged the Election Commission of India to undertake revision of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the valley to include deleted and eligible voters in the electoral rolls.. "We strongly condemn the deliberate attempts to delete names of displaced Kashmiri Pandits from electoral rolls in Kashmir valley under a well planned conspiracy," JKNDF President, A K Dewani told reporters on Tuesday. JKNDF, therefore, urged the ECI to take up the specific revision of voters’ lists, with respect to Kashmiri Pandits, on priority basis to enlist all those whose names have been deleted and of those who have become eligible as voters, he said. In a letter to the ECI by JKNDF, he also urged to publish the draft voter lists in Hindi and English, besides Urdu to enable the younger generation to read these. They have also appealed people to register themselves as voters to safeguard the political interests of the community in exile, he said. The party has charged the government and the political parties of deliberately ignoring the political interests of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to meet their petty political designs
