| Ramnagar Congress hails decision to set up off site campuses | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep19 Hailing the UPA government’s decision at the Centre and Azad led Congress government at the state for granting off site campuses at Ramnagar, Udhampur and Reasi in Jammu region, Ramnagar Congress has urged upon the Chief Minister for a special recruitment drive for the militancy infested area of Dadu Basant Garh and grant of tehsil status to decades old Niabat of Dudu Basant Garh apart from undertaking work on Machedi and Khaned roads and sanctioning of higher secondary and high schools in the area. In a statement issued here today, R S Pathania Member Executive and senior PCC leader said that the bold decision of the Congress led governments at the Centre and the State to set up off site campuses to expand the geographical boundaries of the Universities and the access to the under-privileged and disadvantageous sections to pursue job oriented courses in far flung and underdeveloped packets of the state is a welcome decision The statement urged the Chief Minister to start work on widening of Roun to Ramnagar road, Chenani to Sudhmahadev and Sidhra to Surinsar roads besides granting compensation to the farmers whose land has been acquired for widening purposes. He has also demanded judicial inquiry in the delay caused in completion of several road projects including Ramnagar to Satyein road.
