| Property of LIC employee, sarpanch under scanner | | Interrogation of duo continues | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | AUGSUT 16:
The police has been investigating the property of detained Sarpanch and LIC employee who were arrested a few days back due to their alleged involvement in harbouring militants and providing them cell phones, money and other vital information. The duo was arrested by the Samba police on 14th of Aug during a raid in village Kalibali and were sent to Joint interrogation Center for questioning. During the interrogation the duo disclosed names of some of the surrendered militants were actively involved in harbouring militants under the guise of railways contractors working in Samba Vijaypur and adjacent areas. They further said that a group of militants had taken shelter in the home of a Dellhi based contractor working on railway line in Jammu but left the home few days ahead of Independence Day in a clandestine. On this disclosure the police raided various areas in Vijaypur and Samba to trace out the surrendered militants involved in harbouring but no arrest was made. Meanwhile, army arrested a person in the jungle area of Mesar, in tehsil Samba as he was found roaming in a suspicious manner near by the army camp. During interrogation he identified himself as Puran Chand resident of Doda, but later on was found as Muslim. He disclosed that along with two other persons he came here two days back, but they left him mid-way. The arrested persons have been handed over to police by the army. According to source he can speak 4 to 5 languages.
