Jammu Kashmir Shiv Sena today lambasted the concerned authorities for entertaining Chief Minister's younger brother, Sajjad Ahmed Bhat by allotting him a Hall to conduct business at Bahu Plaza and demanded CBI probe into the matter as entire exercise was performed in contravention to norms.
Addressing the Shiv Sena activists in a protest here today, Shiv Sena President, Ashok Gupta said that the Minister for Housing and Urban Development Qazi Mohammed Afzal despite the reluctance of JDA officers, has demonstrated favour in allotting a Hall to his brother, merely to please CM.
"A CBI probe can bring the truth to fore. The chief Minister has time and again been clamoring for transparent and corruption free governance to the masses of the state but it seems to be a hollow slogan." He said.
He further said that Hall number 209 (A-2) at Bahu Plaza has been allotted to CM's younger brother solely on the instructions of Qazi Mohammed Afzal by flouting all the norms.
He also demanded a high level probe in the involvement of Qazi Afzal in JDA scandal and leveled charges against the Housing and Urban Development Minister for making money for his parental party PDP.
"The government should first end corruption from the top level and then to the lower level for sincere and corruption free governance to the masses of state." he added.
The activists of the Sena appealed the Governor of the State to remove the tainted ministers from the Coalition government and book them under corruption charges.
They further sought an arrest of Chief Minister's younger brother Sajad Ahamed who has been allotted to accommodation of Hall illegally on this prime location.
