Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 20 A book titled as 'Aanchal' written by a Dogri writer Dr. Khem Raj Sharma was released in an impressive function today. Being a resident of Samba district, the writer has highlighted detailed history of all the historical and religious places of Samba in his book, which comprises of 17-18 sub topics. In first four topics of the book, the writer has described background of Pahari places like Dhergarh, Mahorgarh, Malkotgarh and Bupnergarh where the importance of Mansar and Surinsar lakes were also written in the book. The book also included history of religious places of Baba Chamblial, Baba Goran, Ramkund of Ramayan Kal, Maheshwavar Mandir, Satiyan Samba Mandir, Mandir of Ganga Mai and brief history of the Guard of Cattles, Baba Abdu Nath. The book is published by Sarna Nehru Yua Mandal and Trivene Mahela Mandal and costs Rs.150. Professor Archana Kesar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Present on the occasions included A K Raina, director of school education Jammu, Kuldeep Sharma ,principal DIET, Prof. Nirmal Singh, Deptt. of history, Dr. Shivdev Singh Manhas, Deptt of Dogri and scholars of different deptt. of University of Jammu.
