Two officials, including Police HC, charge sheeted
Accused duped people on pretext of providing govt jobs

Crime Branch today presented challans in the court of law for judicial determination against the two government officials including a Police Head Constable, allegedly involved in duping the people on the pretext of providing jobs in the Government departments.
According to CB spokesman one Mohammed Hayat Panzoo Son of Abdul Aziz Resident of Kulhama Bandipora lodged a complaint alleging therein that head constable Khursheed Ahmed Malik has taken an amount of Rs. 1, 60,000 from him on the pretext of arranging government job for his son and nephew. Subsequently an order of appointment purportedly issued by Secretary Service Selection Board Srinagar, was provided to him which proved to be fake. On receipt of this complaint, a preliminary enquiry was held into the matter. Enquiries conducted into the matter substantiated the allegations against the accused and a formal case under FIR No. 52/02 under section 420, 468, 471, 120-B RPC P/S Crime Branch Kashmir was registered and the investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation it came to surface that the above said accused hatched a criminal conspiracy with Shafat Fazil S/o Mahmood-ul-Hassan, resident of Srinagar, and motivated the complaint to pay an amount of Rs. 1. 60 lakh for arranging Government job for his son and his sister’s son. Actually the compliant was asked to pay Rs. two lakhs for the purpose out of which Rs. 1.60 lakh was received by the accused as advance. During investigation it further transpired that the order of appointment purportedly issued by SSB was provided to him in Photostat which proved to be fake. On being asked to return the money, the accused provided cheques which were not honored by the concerned bank. Moreover, accused Khursheed Ahmed was found guilty of destroying the original fake appointment order as such offence under section 201RPC was added against him for destroying evidence. On the basis of available evidence, investigation of the case was closed as challan and the charge sheet produced against HC Khursheed Ahmed S/o Nazir Hussain Malik R/o Mora, Uri and Shafat Faizil S/o Mahmood-ul-Hussain R/o Nowshera Srinagar.
In another similar case, Crime Branch received a joint complaint form Ghulam Mohd Bhat S/o Ali Mohd and Mohd Akram Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohd residents of Wanpora Pulwama wherein its was alleged that one Abdul Ahmad Mir S/o Mohd Ahsan R/o Gudpora, Tral, has taken Rs. 50,000 and 70.000 respectively form them for getting their sons appointed in libraries and research department where the accused is himself working as Jr. Assistant. Thereafter the accused provided them fake orders.
On receipt of this complaint, a preliminary enquiry was held into the matter which corroborated the allegations leveled against the accused and consequently a formal case under FIR NO. 24/2005 U/S 420, 468, 471 RPC was registered in P/S Crime Branch Srinagar and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, persons acquainted with the facts related to the case were examined and copies of fake orders seized. Other related documents including receipts, affidavits etc. furnished by the accused were also seized and put to scientific examination. It was established during investigation that the accused Abdul Ahad, in order to dupe the innocent unemployed youth and their parents (complainants) of their hard earned money, lured them by promising government jobs in libraries and research department in lieu of huge amounts and later on provided them fake orders. Consequently the investigation of case charge sheet against the accused produced in the court of law for judicial determination.
Sensing his guilt the accused Abdul Ahad in order to evade arrest and to escape the legal net has gone underground. However, the Court has been requested for proceeding under section 512 Cr. PC against him, the spokesman said..
