District Mahila Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Raj Bakshi, to discuss various problem of the people living below poverty level and of widows.
Speaking in the meeting Bakshi demanded the relaxation in the formalities for registration of widows pension. She said that present procedure for registration of widow, old age and BPL pension is very tuff and the old woman faces hardship to get registered their names for widow pension. She demanded that concerned corporator, councilor or panches/ sarpanches should be improved to issue the income certificate and verification certificate so that these people should be benefited for this scheme.
Among others who participated in the function included Kiran Anand, Jouti Vaid, Kamlesh Gupta, Suman Wazir, Sita Devi, Kanchan Bala, Darshana and Santosh Manhas.
