Respond positively to Prime Minister Modi's offer of friendship: Mehbooba to Pak | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Aug 30: Mehbooba Mufti , Chief Minister has said that the time has come for Pakistan to respond positively to Prime Minister Modi's offer of friendship because Pakistan has gained nothing from the last four wars with India. Mehbooba Mufti was speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Government Degree College (GDC) Nowshera today. She said, "Kashmir issue is very old and complicated issue and can't be resolved by hiring innocent minor children to throw stones on the security forces and by attacking police stations. She dared the forces behind the curtain engaged in the exploitation poor children to come openly instead taking shelter behind innocent children. Launching a scathing attack on such elements, chief minister said, "Those exploiting children seems to be are not interested in dialogue process and I am not aware of their vested interests. Why they are playing with the lives/future of these innocent children between 13 to 15 years of age group." "Many people exploiting the situation and saying Kashmiri don't believe on Indian and vice versa .It is not true because after standoff in Kashmir many parents have sent their children to get education in other parts of the country, she categorically said. "Actually people of Kashmir are angry with the Political leaders and political parties of India who only gave hollow promises in the past and didn't implement their announced policies in letter & spirit, she said and added that people of Kashmir love people of India and not leaders/political parties. Recalling her father and former chief minister's initiatives, she said, "Mufti Sahib had taken a tough decision to form government in coalition with BJP by keeping in view the Bajpai's agenda to bring peace, progress and development in J&K and solid bond between the people of Kashmir and Jammu." She added Pakistan has gained nothing from the four wars during last 70 years and Vajpayee had impressed upon Pakistan those conspiracies, wars, stone pelting is no solution to Kashmir problem except holding talks. She reiterated that Cross border terrorism, stone pelting and gun culture will not solve the problem and the time has come that Pakistan should rasped positively to our Prime Minister's offer of friendship. Mehbooba also asked the Education Minister for the construction of Girls hostel in Rajouri district. |
