| Qazi visits Ganderbal, inspects works | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar|Sep 20 Minister for Housing and Urban Development Qazi Mohammad Afzal who is also Member Legislative Assembly of Ganderbal Constituency said that the coalition government was committed to provide basic facilities to the people across the state. He said that an amount of Rs.25 lakh would be spent on construction work of upgradation and renovation of one km of Bakura link road. The Minister was interacting with the people during his visit to various areas of Ganderbal district today. Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Mr. G. N. Bodha alongwith a team of senior officers of the district administration accompanied the Minister during his visit. The Minister said that to mitigate the problems of the people various micro and macro schemes have been launched in the state, which have started yielding good results. Several deputations met the Minister during his visit and apprised him about their development demands including upgradation of 6 kms link road of Nagabal to Batipora and repairs of lanes and drains. The Minister gave patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands could be acceded to. Later, the Minister visited the residence of Mr. Bashir Ahmad of Warpaw Alastang and Ghulam Mohammad Dar, Zonal President PDP of Kagan village and offered condolences for the untimely demise of their kin.
