Jawan killed under mysterious circumstances 9/1/2016 10:29:59 PM Early Times Report POONCH, Sept 1: In suspicious circumstances a soldier was killed at forward post in Balnoi sector in Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district in the afternoon today. According to initial information the soldier attained martyrdom after being hit by a bullet fired from across the fence but the police denied any such incident. Police sources said that sepoy Mohan Lal of 37 RR posted at a forward post in Balnoi sector was found dead by his colleagues at about 5 pm today. The matter was reported to the senior officers of the unit and accordingly police was informed and a police party from Mendhar police post was rushed to the post for legal formalities and investigation. "Whether it was fratricide incident or suicide, police is investigating the incident, police sources said. Meanwhile a senior police officer briefly said, "A police party has been sent to the forward post where the incident has been taken place."
