| AMEAK condemns attack on quarters, demands register FIR | | |  Early Times Report
jammu, Sept 1: The protesting employees body All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir has strongly condemned the reported attack by some anti social elements on employees quarters at Natnussa transit camp in Kupwara in which property worth lakhs have been damaged. The body also demanded register of an FIR and stern action against the elements involved in the attack. Hundreds of employees on 51st day of their protest rose loud sloganeering against the state administration for its failure to protect time and again the property of employees in valley. They said that the incident has not only shocked the peace loving citizens of the state but once again exposed the tall claims of the successive governments for safeguarding the interests of minorities in valley. Blaming the administration for not acting timely despite being well aware of the intentions of unscrupulous elements, they said that the administration in valley never took their complaints and apprehension serious in past and with the result some anti social elements without caring anybody succeeded in their nefarious designs. They demanded stern action against the elements involved in the attack and also register of an FIR in the incident. The employees also torched the effigy of state administration to vent their anger. The irritated employees also flayed successive state and centre governments for their callous attitude towards Pandit employees working in valley and maintained that they have been ignored at every time whenever they tried to bring their concerns in the notice of administration. The incident has shocked every Pandit employee working in valley and now they have appealed to the state and centre governments to address their issues and demands without any further delay. They asked the government that it must soft their stand towards the patriotic and nationalist forces and fulfil their demand keeping in view their concerns. Meanwhile, various political party leaders and social activists addressed to the employees and assured them full support and cooperation in their struggle. Those who addressed to the protesting employees including BJP Mahila Morcha President Purnima Sharma, APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit and its national spokesperson King C Bharti, and President over aged youth and relief holders association S L Koul . |
