| Jammu wins U-14, U-17 titles, Poonch winner in U-19 | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 21 Jammu district maintain its supremacy to claim the winners trophies in two boys categories of under-14 and under-17 boys while district Poonch boys clinched the under-19 year title thus proving that the far-flung district has the talent to match with that of the host Jammu. In both under-14 and under-17 groups, Jammu defeated Poonch by three games to one whereas Poonch made a clean sweep in the under-19 category making it a 3-0. Out of a total of 10 districts only five turned up for the two-day Divisional level inter-district table tennis (boys) competitions which were organized under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here. On the concluding day today, table tennis coach of the Department, Sunita Goel was chief guest who gave away trophies to the winners.

Saransh Bali of Ponoch bt Apoorv Sharma of Jammu 3-2 (3-11, 9-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-9); Palav Dubey of Jammu bt Surya Dev Amand Singh of Poonch 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 11-6); Parth of Jammu bt Parvinder Singh of Poonch 3-0 (11-8, 11-4, 11-7); Palav of Jammu bt Saransh Bali of Poonch 3-1 (6-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-9). Under-17 boys: Jammu beat Poonch 3-1. Shorya of Jammu bt Shivam of Poonch 3-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-4); Sahil of Jammu lost to Anupam of Poonch 3-0 (10-12, 6-11, 5-11); Somaya of Jammu bt Mohit of Poonch 3-0 (11-5, 11-2, 11-2); Sahil of Jammu bt Shivam of Poonch 3-0 (11-1, 11-7, 11-5). Under-19 boys: Poonch beat Jammu 3-0. Harshid of Poonch bt Hitanshu of Jammu 3-0 (11-5, 11-9, 11-7); Abhinav of Poonch bt Suchait of Jammu 3-0 (11-7, 8-11, 2-11); Sumit of Poonch bt Rohan of Jammu 3-1 (11-6, 9-11, 11-4, 11-8).
