8/16/2006 11:58:04 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORTER
Rajouri | August 16:

Despite tight security arrangements made by the security forces for Independence day celebration at Hr. Sec. School Darhal Malkan, militants who were trying to disrupt the national function failed in their nefarious design to disturb on the very day. However, a day after they hurled a Pakistani flag during the light at Bag ki Maal and kept one letter with the instruction that whosoever tries to remove it will be responsible for mass killing in his family. It also stated that the next venue to hoist the Pak flag would be Delhi, sources informed.
Darhal Malkan predominately Muslim populated with just one Pandit family remained hub of militant for the last one decade.
It is pertinent to mention here that the flag was hoisted some two hundred metres away from the residential house of Mirza Abdul Rashid ex- speaker of the State assembly and former MP. However leader is out of station for the last one month.
