Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 3: Continuing its drive against black marketers, the Kathua police today arrested one ration dealer alongwith illegally stored 44 bags of sugar meant for the general public of the area to be sold on subsidized rates. A case stands registered in this regard while further investigations are on. "The accused has been identified as Onkar Singh s/o Netar singh R/o village Bimberwan , Rajbagh of Kathua District, police said. Police spokesperson said, "The ration dealer in Rajbagh area who is stocking and selling ration illegally was arrested by the Police here today." "On a tip off nabbed Onkar Singh allegedly involved in the illegal business of hoarding ration and selling the same on profit in market instead of distributing ration among general public, police said, adding, "police team conducted a raid and seized 44 bags of sugar illegally stored by the accused." According a case under FIR No: 207/16 u/s 3/7 EC Act, 409/420 RPC stands registered against the accused and further investigations are on. |
