Jammu, Sept 4: Sonkalan Bharti emerged clear leader securing six points out of as many rounds in the ongoing South Asian Amateur Chess Championship 2016 going on at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, near here today.
Among those foreign players from Nepal and Bangladesh no one could manage lead. However, among J&K players, best performance came from Meenal Gupta and Soham Kamotra, who have obtained 4.5 points each at the end of round six.
From J&K, Meenal and Soham have found berth in the top 25 board matches to be played in seventh round. In these top board matches, only those, who have secured 4.5 and above points have been taken. |
