JAMMU, Sept 04: Police have registered a rape case against an autorickshaw driver for allegedly raping a girl at Badoon in Rajouri. Police also booked the accused's brother for helping him to carry out the highly condemnable act. In her statement to police, the girl was said she was returning home from school when autoricksha driver Manjit Singh, son of Romesh Chand of Klalka, met her on the way and offered her a lift. She sat in the three-wheeler as she knew him. On way to Badoon, he bought a cold drink for her. Reaching Badoon, he drove the autoricksha into a shop while his brother Devinder Singh downed the shutter, she alleged. While Manjit raped her inside the shop, Devinder stood guard outside the downed shutter, she alleged. After the accused freed her, she lodged a complaint against them with police. Though police had registered a case in this connection, the accused were to be apprehended. |
