A pedestrian was knocked to death by an over speedy Tipper in Ganderbal area, while a casual labourer was electrocuted in Pahalgam area.
A police spokesman said that a Tipper - 3960/JK01G - turned turtle at Manigam Ganderbal, resulting on spot death of a pedestrian, identified as Arif Hajam son of Muhammad Shafi of Manigam.
Police said that it has arrested the driver of the offending vehicle and registered a case against him.
A casual Labour of PDD, Gulzar Ahmad Kumar son of Ghulam Nabi of Laripora Pahalgam, Anantnag was electrocuted while performing his duties.
Police said that he was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
