| Various labour problems discussed in AITUC meet | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 21 The activists of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) from Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts in a meeting strongly criticized the working of the government which failed to provide transparent and corruption free government in the state. President of the Doda unit, Javed Iqbal, who chaired the meeting said labourers are the worst sufferers in the present set up government. He said for months together labourers are not paid their genuine wages and as much lining in very miserable conditions. What to say of other districts, labours working in the home districts of Chief Minister are facing number of problems. He said, labourers we at loss were the funds are being utilized. He said, due to lake of funds, developmental works suffer. He said, labourers working in the power development department as daily wagers have not been paid since long and are facing number of problems. Iqbal further said that the departments which engage labour on daily wages ignore labour lanes. He further said union number of times brought the matter into the notice of authorities as well as in the notice of Chief Minister but all in vain. Hollow slogans of the government has not solved any problems of the poor people, Iqbal said.
