| Special squad constitutes to inspects various establishments | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 22 A special squad constituted by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu under supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu inspected more than 100 establishments of mutton sellers, halwai, restaurants, karayana shops at B.C Road, New Plot, Janipur Colony, Paloura, Patoli, Sarwal and Vikas Nagar areas and booked 19 traders for violating the Provision and Essential Commodities Act and LPG control order. Fourteen traders were booked under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act 1954 besides 8 domestic gas cylinders being used for commercial purpose were seized from various traders. An amount of Rs 2000 was realized on spot as fine. The traders have been asked to display the rate list at conspicuous place of their establishments and also keep their establishments neat and clean. They have further been asked not to use domestic gas cylinder for commercial purpose. The squad comprises of Assistant Director, CAPD, Inspectors, Food Inspectors, Sales Officer and other officers of the department.
