Following the complaints that most of the non- state subjects working in different capacities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir have criminal records in their respective states, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir have started detailed investigations of all these non- locals putting up in the state. The step was taken up by the government after some of the non state subjects figured in heinous types of social crimes including rapes and murders in the state in the past few months. After collecting their complete bio data the same will be sent to their respective states for verification, say authorities.
Giving details, the official sources said, as per reports large number of non state subjects with criminal records in their respective states have entered into Jammu and Kashmir during past few years. As part of the state wide campaign, the authorities in Rajouri and Poonch border districts have started collecting the complete bio data of all the non state subjects working in different capacities in this border region. “ We have started this exercise on the government instructions in which we have been asked to send the complete bio data of all the non state subject workers and the same will be later sent to their respective states for character verification”, said Deputy Commissioner Rajouri , Rafiq Ahmed Shaikh .
